TRACK: OEM Education and Scientific Research
In this fun, fast-paced presentation participants will learn—and personally experience—a baker’s dozen of simple, practical ways to spice up presentations while teaching occupational and environmental medicine topics. Based on principles of adult education and experiential learning, this session can forever change the way you approach preparing
presentations for audiences, who too often sit passively for 55 minutes each hour, hoping one or two questions allowed at the end will be relevant learning. Learn from Albert Einstein, who said, “It is, in fact,
nothing short of a miracle that the modern methods of instruction have not entirely strangled the holy curiosity of inquiry.” We can do better as teachers. This session will go a long way to helping you get started.
