08AAP-CPES02: Soft Tissue Augmentation in the Shallow Mandibular Vestibule

Achieving appropriate esthetic results for the natural dentition mandates careful evaluation of several factors. This presentation will address achieving soft tissue augmentation in cases with shallow vestibular depth in both anterior and posterior applications. A variety of techniques for this demanding problem will be explored: connective tissue (bi-laminar) grafting, coronally advanced flaps, autogenous (mono-laminar) gingival grafts and acellular dermal matrix. The indications, advantages and clinical technique for each application will be presented.
