09AAP-EV11: Comprehensive Periodontal Insurance Workshop 3 (ALL DAY SESSION)

Monday Session

Co-presented by Vicki Anderson, Senior Editor of Insurance Solutions Newsletter, and the Academy’s Clinical Affairs Manager, this workshop will discuss CDT-2009 codes and their usage, CPT and ICD-9 diagnosis codes for medical claim submissions, electronic claim submissions, Medicare and troubleshooting of administrative challenges. Attendees will receive handouts of information being presented. Five CE credits will be offered for this program. 

Educational Objectives: 
• Properly apply American Dental Association CDT-2009 codes for more accurate coding submissions. 
• Understand the basic structure of medical codes and recognize appropriate indications for submitting to medical insurance. 
• Gain an overview of electronic submissions, compare Medicare Advantage versus traditional Medicare and troubleshoot administrative challenges.
