Alveolar bone resorption is an inevitable consequence of tooth loss. This process takes on added significance when it occurs in the “esthetic zone”. Ridge deformities in the pre-maxilla have been a great challenge to clinicians, and their management can stand between implant “survival” and “success”. This program will look at the three-dimensional reconstruction of the deficient pre-maxilla from two perspectives: the use of autogenous bone and utilization of a xenograft scaffold infused with a potent growth factor, rh-PDGF-BB.
