Regeneration of the periodontal lesion to create an environment that the patient and hygienist can maintain in optimal health, function, comfort and esthetics is considered the ideal goal of therapy. Lecture topics include the biological background to support various regenerative materials (with histologic validation), specifically designed surgical approaches to support clinical decisions, evidence based outcomes with various techniques, and consideration of key factors that must be controlled in overall patient management to achieve predictable and long-term regenerative therapy success.
