There are various etiologies for a “gummy smile.” Concepts developed in this meeting outline the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment planning. A comprehensive review of the restorative, orthodontic and periodontal aspects of “gummy smile” treatment will be provided, and surgical techniques - including the use of dental laser - will be presented and discussed.
