Furcation invasion has historically been a conundrum for the periodontist. A careful read of the literature has demonstrated that molars with furcation invasion, particularly those in the maxillary arch or mandibulars with Class III or IV, are poorer in both their treatment outcome and long-term survival. This program will provide an update on both historic and cutting-edge techniques and materials to achieve a higher level of success.
