This session will also discuss the changing antibiotic options in dentistry for acute infections and prophylaxis. The 2007 American Heart Association Guidelines for prevention of bacterial endocarditis will be discussed and clarified. Answers will be presented on common questions such as: What is the definitive statement regarding patients who forgot to take their antibiotic?
