A comprehensive residential construction contract is the essential blueprint to the business relationship between a contractor and the customer, and is the best tool available to avoid potential conflicts and liability. Many builders, remodelers and subcontractors use preprinted forms, but often do not use them correctly. Furthermore, they are unclear as to the issues of legal sufficiency that must be addressed and the provisions that must be included in these documents. Not only will this program introduce NAHB’s new form contracts, it will also discuss how to use pre-printed forms that are readily available from other sources. You will leave this session armed with the essential knowledge of proper use and completion of these critical documents.
