After lying dormant for six years, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) activity is taking off. Starting in 2012, the public and large regional builders with large stockpiles of cash began to evaluate both new markets, as well as those they had previously left. This year, they are actively seeking builders to acquire and closing deals in many of these markets. Panelists will address which markets are of the greatest interest, what makes a builder attractive to a buyer, how
builders are valued and how to increase the value. You will be presented with a valuation exercise to help you better understand how your and other companies may be valued. You’ll also hear a first-hand account from a builder who recently sold his company, and, from his perspective, the advantages and disadvantages of
selling.
