Join your colleagues and friends for this unique opportunity to learn, grow professionally, ask questions, and network with your peers. This year’s “Pearls and Pitfalls” session aims to equip Student members and new periodontists with helpful advice as they embark on their periodontal careers. The program is comprised of two sections: One Size Does Not Fit All: Understanding Different Ways to Practice and It Doesn’t Need to Happen Overnight: Navigating Loan Repayment and Refinancing Options. Each session will include first-hand testimonials and tips from periodontists new to practice. Ample time for questions and answers will be provided.
Educational Objectives:
• Differentiate between associate, multi-specialty, and private practice.
• Realize that there is no one right path for everyone and decide what practice modality is the right fit.
• Learn the basic tenants of loan repayment and refinancing and understand various loan repayment and refinancing options.
• Gain insight into how to establish a path to repayment.
Continuing education (CE) credit is not designated for this session.
