Thirty years after its introduction, most remodelers and builders are still reluctant to include Universal Design (UD) features in projects because the majority of homeowners simply aren’t asking for them. Despite multiple efforts to gain acceptance in the marketplace, UD is still associated with accessible design and
aging-related home modifications. As a result, UD is seen as a “need” instead of a “want.” A new movement called Better Living Design (BLD) is rewriting how UD is taken to market by creating new approaches to presenting these concepts to the client. In this session, you will learn how you can successfully usher these concepts into the mainstream marketplace using unique approaches.
