Soft Tissue Augmentation to Enhance Prosthetic Outcomes

This presentation will focus on soft and hard tissue augmentation techniques to compensate for postextraction buccal bone resorption. An evaluation of various alveolar ridge defects that are available to the periodontist will be presented, followed by a review of the decision tree that was utilized to select the most appropriate treatment. Speakers will also focus on surgical reconstruction of soft tissue around dental implants.

• Gain an understanding of defect classification through 3-D analysis and the diagnostic wax-up. 
• Develop experience with provisionalization and emergence profile design. 
• Recognize master techniques to surgically reconstruct papillary tissue between the tooth-implant and implant-implant interface.
