Monday Session
Program Track: Implants
Moderator: Jeffrey Ganeles
Speakers: Jay R. Beagle, Lars Sennerby, Dennis P. Tarnow
Surgical knowledge and biomaterial engineering have advanced to understand and exploit wound healing and implant features for optimal results. This presentation will highlight evidence-based knowledge about alveolar changes and grafting strategies for implant placement, including the influence of implant design and surface modifications on short- and long-term outcomes.
Educational Objectives:
Discuss alveolar changes following tooth extraction and methods to modify them.
Demonstrate the influence of implant surface modification on hard and soft tissue responses.
Present evidence illustrating the influence of different commercially-available implant designs on short- and long-term outcomes.
