As Americans live longer, they must face the health and functional challenges of aging. It’s no surprise that Aging-In-Place (AIP) home modifications are the fastest growing segment of the remodeling industry, especially when it comes to technology. The market is seeing a growth of innovations not only geared toward
empowering aging home owners to safely live in their homes longer, but to also assist and provide peace of mind for caregivers. More than 65 million people provide care for a chronically ill, disabled or loved one each year. This session will provide a look at new technologies through an occupational therapy lens,
analyzing current products that may serve overlapping markets, particularly those that meet multi-generational needs – from kids, to families, to those AIP. By developing an understanding of new AIP innovations, you will be able to expand business to meet the
needs of aging clients and their caregivers.
