This panel conversation discusses how MDRT Past Presidents tackle their work in the new era. The legendary MDRT Past Presidents reveal what changes by generation and time and what remains the same across generations. Moderator Kenichi Ibuki asks the panel their impressions and thoughts about members and clients who are millennials. The discussion also covers sales ideas that fully use web sales and SNS (social networking services).
Speaker Bios
Philip E. Harriman, CLU, ChFC, served as President of MDRT in 2007. He has served on more than 30 Round Table committees. A partner in Lebel & Harriman LLP, his firm specializes in retirement, investment and estate planning. Harriman is a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, NAIFA and the Society of Financial Service Professionals and a past executive committee member of the Maine Estate Planning Council. His civic involvement includes four terms, from 1992 to 2000, as a senator in Maine representing the 23rd District.
Caroline A. Banks, FPFS, served as MDRT President in 2015. The managing director of one of the first firms in the U.K. to be recognized with the prestigious Chartered Financial Planning designation, Banks specializes in holistic financial planning and is an affiliate of the worldwide Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Michelle L. Hoesly, CLU, ChFC, is a Past President of MDRT and past Top of the Table Chair. The owner and principal of Resource 1 Inc., a registered investment advisory firm, she has spoken numerous times internationally and has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal and Kiplinger's on financial and insurance topics.
Julian H. Good Jr., CLU, ChFC, of Metairie, Louisiana, served as MDRT President in 2011. He is the founder and principal of Good Financial Group, where he assists clients with individual and business planning needs. He is a member and past president of NAIFA–Greater New Orleans, a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and past president of the Greater New Orleans Estate Planning Council.
