This course will discuss the many advantages of periodontal microsurgery and will include video demonstrations of several clinical cases. The presentation will highlight advantages to the periodontal microsurgeon, including precision treatment of disease, utilizing microsurgery to achieve enhanced results with connective tissue grafting, and the benefits noted when grafting exposed roots and implants. Of special note, the advantages of microsurgery when performing papilla reconstruction and ridge augmentation will be covered. New surgical applications for microsurgery along with three technical solutions to peri-implant soft tissue deficiencies for both single and multiple implant prostheses will be presented.

• Describe the advantages for periodontal microsurgery along with clinical cases.
• Explain the various surgical techniques utilizing a connective tissue graft and consider the long-term prognosis.
• Assess how to provide technical solutions to peri-implant soft tissue deficiencies for both single and multiple implant prostheses.
